RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC, July 14, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Wireless Industrial Networking Alliance (WINA), expert wireless resource for the industrial market, will present a live webinar on choosing the right wireless technology for industrial applications and what you need to know about two leading standards-based WSN technologies—WirelessHART and ZigBee .

The webinar will be hosted by Gary Mintchell, Editor in Chief of Automation World, and presented by Steve Toteda, President, WINA on Thursday, July 30th at 1:00 p.m. EST. The 50 minute presentation will be followed by a 10 minute live Q&A session.

This webinar will compare and contrast the performance between WirelessHART and ZigBee. It will describe the communication methodology used by each and evaluate both network scalability and reliability in challenging RF environments. The discussion will include an analysis of the low-power claims of each as well as a look at how and why low-power is a leading driver in the development of new field devices for the industrial market. Case studies using each technology will provide an inside look at the technology in use today.
