As CEO of Cygnus Broadband, as well as throughout his incredible 28 years in the industry, Kenneth has consistently demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.

Cygnus Broadband is a company that designs base stations for 4G wireless broadband. The company creates solutions to optimize the transport of application traffic and intelligently manage RF and network resources at the edge of the mobile network.

Kenneth is responsible for managing all major aspects of the business as well as overseeing the daily operations. He has extensive experience in Broadband Wireless technology development including protocol and algorithm development, intellectual property, and standardization. Mr. Stanwood was a co-founder of the WiMAX Forum, vice-chair of 802.16 and the first technical working group chair of the WiMAX Forum. He holds 39 US patents in broadband wireless communications. Prior to joining Cygnus Broadband, Kenneth served as Executive Vice President of Technology and Standards for NextWave Wireless as well as CEO of Cygnus Communications. He also served as CTO at Ensemble Communications.

During his collegiate career, Kenneth earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematical Sciences from Oregon State University. Mr. Stanwood is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
